Brent and I were set apart tonight by President Carpenter, our Stake President.  He gave us some very wonderful blessings.  We had special family members there with us.  I am my Mom's first child to serve a mission.  She has had several Grandson's serve, but I am her first child.  We feel loved and supported and want to thank the members of our family who were there.  We love you all!

So here we are two weeks before we enter the MTC in Provo.  We report on Monday March 21st.
We have all the  "stuff"  we want to take with us stacked on two different beds in the house.   Do you think we can get all this in our suitcases?  I will try.

                                                      Our Mission Call
Our children and grandchildren that live close were at our house when we opened our call.  Our children and grandchildren that live in other states were on the computer and saw us open our call.  Brent read our call out loud and I read it over his shoulder.  When he read we were called to the Sierra Leone Freetown Mission I still didn't know where we were going.  Jason and Chad went to their phones and looked it up and within minutes we knew Freetown was the capital of Sierra Leone and that Sierra Leone was in West Africa.  They had pictures of the area almost immediately.  What an exciting night!  It was so wonderful to share it with our children and grandchildren.  Also my Mom was there.  I am her first child to serve a mission.
